Elon’s Liverpool FC

Elon Musk’s interest in purchasing Liverpool Football Club has been confirmed by his father, Errol Musk, in recent interviews, revealing that his son has expressed a strong desire to buy the club. The family’s connection to Liverpool is deep, with Elon’s grandmother born in the city and relatives living there. Additionally, Errol mentioned that his family had connections with the Beatles, adding to the personal attachment to the city.

Liverpool is currently valued at around £4.3 billion, making it the fourth most valuable football club globally. Fenway Sports Group (FSG), the current owners, have previously dismissed rumors of a full sale, though they did sell a minority stake to Dynasty Equity in September 2023 to help repay debts incurred during the pandemic and other capital expenditures, highlighting a recurring pattern of accepting outside investment despite signalling that they are not interested in selling.

The is positive feedback from fans and the public, with most people seeing an opportunity for new investment. Musk’s vast wealth, estimated at around £340 billion, makes the purchase financially feasible, and his ownership would likely be welcomed from the fanbase given his reputation and excitement about football and the Premier League.
